Circling around the skirt of Jiayi city from northeast to the south, Shih Xian Road is separated into the fast traffic lane and the slow one by two lines of several stands of safety islands, where the Shih Xian Bicycle Rail concretely climbs on.
Extending as long as 12.5 kilometers along ShihXian Road, this bicycle route wasn’t ready for everyone until the end of 2008. And to echo the call for green environment, rows of tall trees line up by the route, and take the responsibility to cool down the air for those pedaling down there.
Sometimes only tiny bug cries can be heard along the island; other times you come across kids giggling around the miniature park embedded in another island. When it comes to crossings, there’s no exception for bikers to follow the traffic rules.

This bicycle rail can be nothing but a rail to people who live in other cities with rails of this kind sprawling all over, but this is the first one in Jiayi city and at least mark a small milestone in history.
