Having sex without orgasm is like ...
taking exams without knowing the scores or result
or
going on a trip without knowing the destination.
Having sex itself is usually pleasant and magnificent, but orgasm is always the creme de la creme.
Hi! This is Iris and you're now in my blog where I wish to capture every interesting moment by text and image and share them with my friends!

a letter to Woody Allen
Dear Mr. Woody Allen,
This letter contains an uninvited request and favor, and I apologize beforehand for what I'm going to ask.
First of all, I really like your movies, and I admire your talents and efforts...
I watched Match Point, Midnight in Paris, Annie Hall, Blue Jasmine, and Vicky Christina Barcelona.(in the order of when I watched), and find them really fresh to me no matter the old ones or the new ones, and are filmed in a rather light way with the sort of heavy issues discussed.
I thought a lot about what to say to you last night after I watched Vicky Christina Barcelona, I thought about being someone like Christina, about taking photographs of every little thing in my daily lives, about actually doing something that I like, about how much I want to contact you, and before falling asleep, I pretty much dwelling on acting a role in a film you direct.
Well, yes... that's really why I'm trying to contact you. This is actually kind of embarrassing, but I hope I can play an important role in a film you write and direct. I'm not an actor neither as a career or as amateur. I just wish I could do that once in a lifetime. Maybe just a short story happened somewhere in a village? maybe?
So uh... in case that you might take the risk, here's the brief "specification" of myself: 1.56 meters tall, 45 kg in weight, and attached is a short clip of me saying hi to you so that you can actually see how I look like in a camera and what I sound like.
Finally, it would be a huge honor to receive your any kind of reply. I will definitely print it, frame it, and hang it at the most stand-out spot of my home.
Sincerely,
Iris Qin

a letter to my boyfriend

time to grow up
也能珍惜當下的每分每秒 no matter with whom

LIFE
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Space Oddity)
Life
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Count down !
It's about time for many people to count down to the year of 2014, and time for all sorts of celebration parties. (the most popular one in Taipei must be the 101 fireworks)
Well, I am counting down as well, but not quite to the new year, but my upcoming un-employment! And salute to Taipei!
I have to say that the year of 2013 for me was truly great and aweful all at the same time.
The greatest one is that I had a group exhibition of sketch in August. And my ex spent a lot of time with me since i knew that the company I worked for is shutting down, and i decided to leave Taipei. I feel safe, happy, comfortable, and cared while with him. These two things are the best ones I ever had in my life so far.
About aweful ones, there're just too many...
I still have no any plans for 2014 and unemployment. But will definitely take a short break.
Guess I'll figure it out as time tic tac tic tac away.
PS. I do hope I can make this blogger better, such as uploading more pictures with high quality and posting more articles (not sure what topics they would be yet).
Any way, Happy New Year to Everyone~

what is my mission on earth ?
helpless lost despair...

An Easy Way to Curb Climate change: Seal Gas Leaks
By ANDREW C. REVKIN and CLIFFORD KRAUSS
To the naked eye, there was nothing to be seen at a natural gas well in eastern Texas but beige pipes and tanks baking in the sun.
But in the viewfinder of Terry Gosney's infrared camera, three black plumes of gas gushed through leaks that were otherwise invisible.
" Holy smoke, it's blowing like mad," said Mr. Gosney, an environmental field coordinator for EnCana, the Canadian gas producer that operate the year-old well near Franklin, Texas. " It does look nasty."
Within a few days, the leaks had been sealed by workers.
Efforts like EnCana's save energy and money. Yet they're also a cheap, effective way of blunting climate change that could potentially be replicated thousands of times over, from Wyoming to Siberia, energy experts say. Natural gas consists of almost entirely of methane, a potent heat-trapping gas that scientist say accounts for as much as a third of the human contribution to global warming.
"This ? for me is an absolute no-brainer, even more so than putting in those compact fluorescent bulbs in your house," said Al Armendariz, an engineer at Southern University who studies pollutants from oil and gas fields.
Acting quickly to stanch the loss of methane could substantially cut warming in the short run, even as countries tackle the tougher challenge of curbing the dominant green house emission, carbon dioxide, studies by researchers at the Massachusettes Institude of Technology suggest.
Unlike carbon dioxide, which can remain in the atmosphere a century or more once released, methane persists in the air for about 10 years. So aggresively reining in emission now would mean that far less of the gas would be warming the earth in a decade or so.
Methane is also a valuable target because while it is far rarer and more fleeting than carbon dioxide, ton for ton, it traps 25 times as much heat, researchers say.
Yet while federal and international programs have encouraged companies to seek and crub methane emissions from gas and oil wells, pipelines and tanks, aggressive efforts like Encana's are still far from the industry norm.
As a result, some three trillion cubic feet of methane leak into the air every year, with Russia and the United States the leading sources, according to the Environmental Protection Agency's official estimate. And government scientist and industry officials caution that the real fugure is almost certainly higher.
Internationally, the amount of methane escaping from the gas and oil operations can be only crudely gauged.
But in 2006 the E.P.A. estimated that Russia, the world's largest gas producer, ranked highest, with 427 billion cubic feet of methane escaping annually, followed by the United States at 346 billion, Ukraine at 225 billion and Mexico at 191 billion.
Reflecting the uncertainty in such estimates, Gazprom, Russia's giant state gas monopoly, estimated its annual emissions at half that figure last year.
'The use of infrared cameras is expanding as words spreads of the payoff in saved gas, ' said Ben Shepperd, executive vice president of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, which represents 1,200 companies in the oil and gas business around West Texas. " We would like to see more people doing it," he said. " People are very surprised when they shoot their equipment with these cameras and they see that there are releases in places they wouldn't have expected."

Unless mononitoring is greatly expanded, they say, such emissions could soar as global production of natural gas increases over the next few decades.
But the industry has been largely resistant to an aggressive cleanup.
In April the Obama administration signaled that it could adopt rules requiring the biggest American companies to report all of their greenhouse gas emissions. Oil and gas industry groups countered that the cost and complexity of dealing with some 700,000 wells were too great.
In Spetember the E.P.A announced that the obligatory reporting would begin in 2011 but that it excluded oil and gas operations, at least for the time being.
Some scientists reject the industry arguments(?). " Further delay on finding and stopping such releases would be irresponsible, given the financial and environmental benefits," said F. Sherwood Rowland, a Nobel laureate in chemistry at the university of California, Irvine.

High-Tech Nanny Hangs Up on Drivers
By SAM Grobart
Dede Haskin's cellphone has been her constant companion for more than a decade. And she has always considered herself a careful driver - even using a hands-free set so she could keep both hands on the wheel. [But after missing one too many exits because she was distracted by a phone call, Ms. Haskins decided it was time to get tough with herself.] So [she signed up for ZoomSafer], a free service that uses her phone's GPS sensors to determine whether she's at driving speeds, and then disabled her cellphones until she stops the car. " I really love my cellphone," said Ms. Haskins, the chief executive of a software company in Washington. " But I know I'm not driving safely if I'm using it while behind the wheel." Of course, there's a simpler, no-cost solution to limiting phone use while driving: the off button. But that is hard for many who have become addicted to their gadgets. And so technology companies are trying to solve a problem caused by technology with more technology.
But the solutions reflect markedly different answers to a simple question: How much can drivers be trusted?
One group of companies assume that some people know they can't help themselves, and therefore want a service to automatically disable their cellphone when it's in a moving car.
But other companies said the habit can be made safer with hands-free technology. Ford and Microsoft, for example, are selling systems that rely on voice commands to dial phones.
Hands-free devices are far more popular. But it is cellphone-muzzling technology that has caught the eye of large auto insurers. That's because some studies show that talking on phones while driving is dangerous, even if the drivers is using a headset and has both hands on the whee. One insurer has even said it will offer discounts to customers who use a call-blocking service.
A number of fledging companies like ZoomSafer , Aegis Mobility and obdEdge employ systems that place restrictions on the phones based on the phones' GPS signal, data from the car itself or from nearby cellphone towers. Any incoming calls are then routed to voice mail or a message explaining that the phone's owner is driving. Exceptions can be made for certain numbers.
Passengers in cars can override such system, but in many cases doing so automatically sends an e-mail message to the account administrator - say, a parent or employer - alerting them that the cellphone is in use.
Employers that want to make sure their drivers abide by bans on cellphone use are obvious potential customers. Community Coffee, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, coffee roaster and distributor, has had such a ban on its 400 trucks for three years, which the company says has helped reduce its accidents rate by 30 percent.
It started testing a call-blocking system from obdEdge, called Cellcontrol, in Augeust. ObdEdge charges companies $85, plus about $5 monthly, for each vehicle equipped with Cellcontrol.
" We realized we had to go beyond eudcation and policy," said Jamey LeBlanc, the risk manager for Community Coffee. "You're going against human nature here, so you need something that works independently of that."
Community Coffee
In effect, addiction to gadgets is creating a new gadget industry. "If we could control ourselves, we wouldn't need any of this technology," said Donald Power, a managing partner at obdEdge. " We know it's such a bad habit, but we crave being connected."
Other companies insist the habit is not so bad and can be mitigated by employing voice recognition and speech-to-text technologies in cars.
Such systems are typically developed and prompted by some of the biggest names in electronics and automobiles, as well as well-financed trade groups like the Cousumer Electronics Association and CTIA, the wireless industy group.
Ford and Microsoft, for example, joined forces to develop the Sync system, which uses voice commands to pick out a name from a phone's address book to place a call. It can also retrive incoming text messages and read them aloud.
In 2008, 918,000 hands-free system were installed in cars, according to Cousumer Electronics Association. By the end of 2009, the industry group estimates, that figure will climb to 1.6 million systems.
" We're trying to take what people are doing and make it safer," said Doug Vandagens, the director of Ford's Sync project. " Voice provides the safest options and keeps the driver's eyes on the road."

Hawaii tries green tools in remaking power grids
Three kilometers or so from this tiny town in the southernmost corner of the United States, across ranches where cattle herds graze beneath the distant Mauna Loa volcano, the giant turbines of a new wind farm cut through the air.
Ninety-five kilometers to the northeast, near a spot where golden-red lava streams meet the sea in clouds of stream, a small power plant extracts heat from the volcanic rock beneath it to generate electricity.
These projects are just a slice of the energy experiment unfolding across Hawaii's six main islands. With the most diverse array of alternative energy potential of any state in the nation, Hawaii has set out to become a living laboratory for the rest of America, hoping it can slash its dependence on fossil fuels while keeping the lights on.

Every island has at least one energy accent: waves in Maui, wind in Lanai and Molokai, solar panels in OAhu and eventually if all goes well, biomass energy from crops grown on Kauai. Here on the Big Isalnd of Hawaii, sea-water is also being converted to electricity.
Still, the state faces the enormous challenges in delivering the power to the people who need it. While the urban sprawl around Honoluu consumes the bulk of the energy, most potential renewable sources are far from the city, 240 kilometers southeast or 160 kilometers to the northwest.
Each of the state's six electric grids belongs to its own island and is unconnected to the others. And according to state figure, Hawaii still relies on imported oil to generate 77 percent of its electricity, a level of dependency unique in the United Sates. Coal-fired power provides 14 percent, and 9 percent comes from renewable sources like the wind or the sun.

Hawaii plans to generate 40 percent of its power from renewable sources by 2030. The state's six grids will be connected by cable, and planners hope that conservation steps like reducing the air-conditioning load at high-rise hotels will cut Hawaii's energy consumption by nearly a third.

Three decades ago, Hawaii mapped out a similar vision that came to nothing. This time, planners say failure is not an option.
